Staff Trainings

Staff Trainings through the Vermont Center for Afterschool Excellence provide afterschool programs across Vermont with professional development opportunities onsite or in their region. These trainings offer hands-on, interactive experiences for staff working in programs and directly with children and youth. Workshops are facilitated by trainers with significant expertise in the topic area.

Program directors, Resource Development Specialists, school administrators, and others interested in hosting a training can request a specific workshop or work with us to create a customized training. Any of the listed workshops can be modified to meet the specific needs of staff. Full descriptions of each  of the listed workshops are available.

Staff trainings can be requested at any point in the year and efforts will be made to fill the request in a timely manner. For best results, please request a workshop at least four weeks in advance.

The workshops for staff are interactive, engaging, and designed by afterschool professionals for afterschool professionals. While we have a list of workshops to choose from, if you don’t see what you are looking for, please contact us and we can work together to custom design a training to meet your needs.
