Exciting News!

Starting in March 2011, the Vermont School Age Care Network (VSACN) will move its work over under the Vermont Center for Afterschool Excellence. This is a positive and exciting step for our state– pulling together our resources and expertise to better serve afterschool programs in Vermont.

All aspects of the Vermont School Age Care Network’s activities will continue at the Vermont Center for Afterschool Excellence. The Center will become the National AfterSchool Association affiliate; the professional development workshops, technical assistance and member services will continue and grow; and we are fortunate to have Sue Kamp who will continue to coordinate these projects.

We especially would like to send a big welcome to VSACN’s current members. The work you do is critical in helping to build a strong foundation for the children and youth of Vermont and we appreciate your membership in the organization. In the next few months we’ll be looking at expanding our member benefits and membership base and are looking for your ideas and input.

If you would like to serve on the newly created Membership Committee or give input into the membership structure and benefits, please contact Sue Kamp at vsacn@mjccvt.org. Your feedback and contributions as we make this expansion would be greatly appreciated.
