VT Afterschool for All Legislative Day

February 29th, 2012

Vermont State House and

Capitol Plaza Hotel

Montpelier, VT

Registration is now open for the Vermont Afterschool for All Legislative Day on February 29th in Montpelier. This exciting, statewide event brings together afterschool program providers, partners, parents, and advocates to meet with state legislators and leaders to advance learning and policy around afterschool and expanded learning in Vermont.

This year’s event will feature a thought-provoking leadership panel including Jessica Cardichon (Senator Sanders’ Office), Ken Page (Executive Director of the Vermont Principals Association), and Susan Bartlett (Special Assistant to Governor Shumlin) sharing their views on what an integrated system for “more time for learning” might look like in Vermont and how schools, afterschool programs, and community partners can work together to build this system. This is a day to celebrate the important role that youth workers, afterschool providers, and program staff play in helping to build a strong foundation for the children and youth of Vermont. Come celebrate with us!
